

The program started quickly in previous versions, at least on the systems that I tried it on. The release notes suggest that the startup of the application has been optimized in the new release. The option to disable the News and Interests widget was not listed on a test system, but the feature was not available on the device yet.

Microsoft released Windows 10 version 21H1 last month. You can check the installed version of the program by selecting Help > About.
